8i on NT: FailSafe versus Standby Database

We're running 8i on NT and thinking about improving availability (no jibes
about changing OS please! - I'm afraid that's not an option for us)...



Can anyone provide any comparisons between the Fail Safe and Standby
Database. Technical comparisons or just opinions from experience
would be gratefully received.
