O8i OEM logins

Hello Gurus...
Here's a weird question. I'm running 8i on an NT server (SP5). My apps run and I can login to SQL*plus and the available OEM applications (like storage manager, etc.)
When I try to login to OEM, to use backup manager I'm asked to login as the OEM administrator and to login to the Management Server (defined as my server's hostname). I logged in once, as the default-- sysman/oem_temp and created another admin user as suggested. Now, I can't login as the new user, OR the default! Anyone have any ideas? As far as I can tell, nothing has changed and if it had, I wouldn't be able to connect to the DB through "normal" means, right?

TIA,
Vickie
