ORA-604 and ORA-942 on startup

Hello,

We work on two releases : 7.2.3 (because of forms v3) and 7.3.4.

Sometimes, once a month, one of our databases doesn't correctly start whith the two errors in the alert.log.

The database is mounted but when there is an alter database open; then the two errors occurs. This happens during a nightly execution after backups !. The message in the log of our jobs is initialization or shutdown in progress !. The morning we just have to do an immediate shutdown and an alter database open, then it works !!!

Is this a problem of memory or sga ?

Has everyone pieces of information about this ?
