ORA-4031 SHARED POOL error

Hi
We are currently testing a new application that was developed using Developer 2000, r2.1 with the October 1998 patch set. It is running in Windows 95, connecting to an Oracle 8.0.5 database on a DEC Alpha Unix server.

The test team keeps getting ORA-04031, "not enough memory in the shared pool", but they don't always get it in the same location.

The shared pool size in the instance is now up to 75 megabytes and we only have 5 users connected. I don't believe that it is a shared pool error.

I'm guessing a bug of some sorts with Developer 2000, perhaps even on this release. We went back to this specific patch because the later patch, April 1999, was causing compile problems.

Anyone else run into this at their site?

Any help appreciated. Thanks.
