depends on the app, of course. for standard order entry it should be fine. the olite replication has all the important features of oracle standard replication, which although IMO isn't the easiest thing to administer/troubleshoot/recover from, provides a lot of configuration options. olite has a full java api to perform all of its replication functionality, and also windows gui tools as well.

one thing to keep in mind, tho, is that afaik lite doesn't support pl/sql.
