Parameter Passing using Batch Files and SQLPlus

Database: Oracle7.3.4 and above



Is there a way i could have a sql script get a value from the database
and set an environment variable to that value, so that my batch file
can utilize it to pass it as an parameter or argument to other
applications and sql scripts.
