Here is what I've figured out...
DBMS_PIPE can do what you want, but you need a C program to interface with the OS.
UTL_FILE allows you to read and write to a text file, so you can build script files to be executed by CRON. I welcome any and everyone to correct me! Terry, Illinois Power
