Hello,
W're developing a database with a huge amount of data in some of its tables (100-300 Gb).
What is the impact on performance and maintability when the tables are splitted into two parts: a small but active part, containing 10% of the data and a large, but inactive part, containing 90% of the data?
Almost all data is accessed by indexes.

Thanks in advance,
Han Zijlstra
