Some blind suggestions:

I do not know enough about how many buffers, other shared memory in oracle. You may need lots of buffers, sort space, hash space.

Do you use Parallel Query Option? Are the tables partitioned?

Also how is disk paging at the Solaris level? What is happening in vmstat, iostat, sar? At Solaris 2.6 there is a page_priority tunable kernel parameter that may help, you need a patch to implement it. Is it turned on? Check in /etc/system.
