Any advice on the following.

I am using OEM to schedule a job to start up an Oracle 8.0.4 database on Win NT. The job seems to run okay because the database opens but OEM reports that it failed with the following output:

Oracle Server Manager Release 3.0.4.0.0 - Production

(c) Copyright 1997, Oracle Corporation. All Rights Reserved.

ORA-12203: TNS:unable to connect to destination Connected.
ORACLE instance started.

Total System Global Area 93424300 bytes
Fixed Size 47788 bytes
Variable Size 67088384 bytes
Database Buffers 26214400 bytes
Redo Buffers 73728 bytes
Database mounted.
Database opened.

Server Manager complete.
ora-12203: TNS:unable to connect to destination

How can Server Manager be unable to connect to the destination yet still manager to open the database?
If I run server manager from the command line I don't get any of these ORA errors, nor do I get any for other jobs eg. SQL*Plus jobs.

I'm a bit perplexed and any advice would be welcomed!

Many thanks,
