Our shop is currently running several 7.3.4 databases on Solaris 2.5 (Sparc).
We are planning on upgrading to 8i and Solaris 7 within the next month however,
we seem to be getting a lot of conflicting information regarding the
combination. Does anyone have any experiences with 7 and 8i that they could
share? A rep from Sun indicated today that he had heard of some severe issues
but could not get any more specific. A check of MetaLink and technet showed
some planned patches but no severe type problem reports. Any input would be
much appreciated
