net8 question

I'm having trouble connecting to my 8i database with the net8 config...
here's my info:


db_name: engineer


service_name: engineer.domain.com


i'm trying to set it up with Net8 Easy Config's test... but i get and error
that the listener couldn't resolve the service name.  any ideas?  thanks
