Sam,

It depends on the size of your dwh. However, generally it is a task for professionals; least you need:

- a DWH analyst
- a DWH database designer
- a copy management developer
- a front-end tool developer

These are all more or less different tasks/assignments and if you want a scalable warehouse, getting consultancy would not be a bad option.
