Hi yall,

I am trying to use the OCI80 from a 3GL by linking to a DLL, ora803.dll in
my case (on windows 95/98/NT) . Nasty that this DLL contains a version
number. On another PC (and another Net80 install), this DLL does not exist,
but the same code appears to be located in oraclient80.dll

In the Oracle803 docs, it says that ora803.dll is the one to use. But that
one contains a version number. What's the story? Which DLL(s) can i assume
present on an Net80 install?

In version 7, the thing was always called ociw32.dll, making your exe's
independent of the sqlnet version, as long as the OCI API was same.

Problem? Solution ?

Thanks, Jan-Marten Spit
