Q: Other schema objects in stored functions

Hi experts,

while trying to create a stored function (CREATE FUNCTION) in Oracle server
(7.3.3) I experienced a strange problem:

Although I can read an other user's tables (select, describe) I can't reference them in SELECT statements within a stored function.

Is this true? Or am I lacking any privileges?
