Not if you want to search efficiently within an Oracle database - don't let your dba put you off! It will do them good to learn something new. There are many other options if you want to search files external to the database such as ISIS. Admin on Context 2.x is generally fairly low if you put it together correctly - though there is a small learning curve. It appears as though it will be even simpler with InterMedia (the 8i version), but I am yet to use it in anger.
