Metaframe to Oracle connectivity problem

We have 2 customers running MetaFrame 1.8 and trying to connect to a different NT server that is running Oracle (1 running 7.3.4 w/the 7.3.4 client and the other is running 8.0.5 w/the 7.3.3 client).

According to the Oracle trace files, while a lookup and fetch is being executed, Oracle is receiving an explicit Disconnect (i.e. the connection is not just being severed, Oracle is being told to disconnect).

It appears to be a timing issue. Has anyone seen this happen before?

Is there any settings in MetaFrame that would affect this? I wouldn't believe that the session disconnect setting would affect this since the minimum value is 1 minute and they are set at 30 minutes
