PLEASE HELP: ASCII Im- Export

hello;

we have to export (and import) tables into (adn from) an ascii-file. but we are missing the final idea for handling these problems:

(1) is there any tool dedicated to solve our problems?
(2) is there any chance to use the PL I/O-functions to write a file?
(3) has anyone another idea or hint for us?
