Sybrand,

I am getting a 14 gig hard drive and 128 meg of ram. I do not need Oracle to run fast. Just run so that I can test my VC++ programs against the Oracle Server on my machine. I also use my notebook to learn new development software. So that I want to run Oracle 8i. Maybe I can live without Oracle 8i until Window 2000, then I can buy my DVD notebook now and install the Oracle Server in a couple of months. However, my perfect world would be for Oracle 8i Server to work on my new notebook with Windows 98.

Thanks,
