Hi Andre
I'm not sure which Oracle products you have, so my reference in this post/reply is going to be the standard server kit, which usually comes only with few frontend products
With respect to Access I'm not sure what you mean. Linked: no, connections from Access97 to Oracle using ODBC: yes. The ODBC driver is in the standard Oracle kit.
I don't know what your exact plans are. I only can say the combination of these two products is a bit problematic. This is because ODBC supports multiple databases.
A better approach is using Visual Basic or Visual C with Oracle Objects for Ole (provided), which basically is a native Oracle driver. The standard Oracle kit doesn't come with true reporting software. You can use sqlplus for this purpose, and sometimes this is more easy than using Oracle Report.
I'm not aware whether the new product WebDB is in the standard kit. From what I have seen it looks like this is an easy to use interface between a browser and Oracle, probably supporting ASP. In the pre-internet era you would usually buy Designer/2000 (Case design tool) and either generate to VB, or use Developer/2000 to generate your forms and reports. Oracle Report is part of the Developer/2000 suite.
