Questions about PQO ...

Hi,theres,

Our DB(8.0.5 With the Partitioning, Objects and Parallel Server options, 2 nodes(RS/6000))is on AIX.

   I have some problems about Parallel Querry Option,    1.Does PQO operate for single INSERT, UPDATE, DELETE statements      ( without any subquery ) ??
   2.At what situation(and under what condition), I can use PQO to get      better performance ?
    (What's the relations between DML(DDL) statements and partitioning)?

Or someone can show me some papers/sites about PQO , thanks !!
