Multibyte databases on Oracle 8

Two questions (maybe three):

1.Other than installing Oracle 8 with the UTF8 AL24.... character set is there anything else required to run a multibyte character database ? (Oracle8 Enterprise on NT)

2.Once setup is there a convenient method of testing whilst using a UK or US NT clients ? Or an export of the multibyte characters available (read Kanji etc) ?
