in 8.1.5, code you develop is stored in byte code and interpreted as normal.
The exists a ncomp compiler tho that turns java into c, compiles the c into object code and we run that. we use that for our internal packages in 8.1.5 and the intention is to release that for 8.1.6 so you can too.
