Startup Error Solaris

I am trying to start up an Oracle instance on Solaris.  Having more NT
background I am stumped..See the error below:



SVRMGR>STARTUP NOMOUNT PFILE=xxx.ora


ORA-27123: Unable to attach to shared memory segment
SVR4 Error: 22: Invalid argument


SVRMGR>


Any ideas anyone?
