Drop a Database?

Guys, can anyone help? I have a database that I believe is really in bad shape - ora-600 errors that I have been unable to identify cause of (I _think_ caused by interrupting ConText text indexing activities with a shutdown abort...). Anyway, I want to put in Oracle8.0.5 and start afresh.

Oracle7 7.3.3.00 on NT 4.0 SP3

  1. is there any facility anywhere for 'dropping' an entire database?
  2. if not, I want to remove whatever references there are to it in registry or wherever and most importantly, reclaim the disk space allocate dto DB files.

Any clean ways of doing this?

Thanks very much......
