Hell Eric, this is Usenet and you did post some real flame bait. How on earth was I suppose to resists! :-) My posting was a bit tongue-in-cheek and I hope you did not take it too seriously.
>Tunnel vision gets you no where
Ah grasshopper, wise man say it depends on what is on the other side of the tunnel...

Don't blame the product or the occupation for dumb a-holes like that. I have also met my share of these experts - Oracle, SQL-Server, client-server and other "consultants".
Is Oracle the right upsize path for an Access system? Well, that question can only be answered when looking at that specific and unique situation. Business requirements should be identified first and then the technology chosen that best suits that within the limitations and restrictions there are (budgets and skilled personnel come to to mind). I would think that people like us should know that - but from the postings about "what product should I use" we often get around here, I doubt that business requirements are ever really considered before coming up with a technical solution. But what the hell - we get paid to fix stuff ups like that, where the technology was chosen just for the hell of it without ever thinking about the business requirements and IS strategy... ;-)
Anyway, I'm never one to miss a good VERSUS fight on Usenet - ORACLE RULES
AND SQL-SERVER DROOLS! :-)
>Ever heard of screw me once shame on you, screw me twice shame on me???
Well, we've been screwed so many times by Microsoft... nah, best leave that for that "unite and destroy Microsoft" thread that is doing its rounds.. ;-)

I dunno. Let's start another thread in 30 or so different newsgroups insulting MCP's and see what happens... ;-)
