If the database is not in the machine from where you are trying to use
sql*plus, then you need to configure a service using SQL*Net client and
provide the service at logon. If the database is in the same machine, you
may want to verify if you have a listener and if it is started
(orant/bin/listnr80), and you will have to verify the created services (use
net8) you can use beq-local or tcp-loopback
