Finding skipped blocks

Well, I've been a DBA for a few years, but this request is a new one on me:

I'm writing a few report scripts. The manager has asked me to include 'skipped blocks' on one of the reports. Interesting request - I've never heard of a skipped block in the Oracle world. Can someone enlighten me as to what they are? And a pointer to the data dictionary table containing info on them would be very gracious of someone.

If it is convenient, e-mail wil lreach me faster.

TIA - Regards,
jh
