Agree 100% that it is not a convenient option, fortunately we had already budgeted for CA's Software Distribution product so we just had to extend this to include the Forms. Runtime is still a problem though :-(
As far as Routers were concerned, this did not become an issue for us. Our problem with Client/Server was hit before trying to get to the database, and literally just loading the Oracle Dev/2000 runtime and our Forms, all on a Local LAN. One of the tests was asking 10 PC's to load Dev/2000 and the default menu form, and this took a couple of minutes for the last screen to come back. We gave up at this point, and went to locally installed copies of runtime and forms.
