Lukasz,

    Novell DOES indeed set directory permissions for individual users. From what I see, you have defined the archive redo logs to write to the root directory of the ARCHIVE volume. Root directories are normally set to read-only access by default on Netware. Check with your Novell System Administrator. It is an easy task (with a utility called FILER) to alter privileges.
