I developed a Oracle web application about a year ago with "latest/greatest" Context at that time and encountered numerous bugs. All of the Context servers dying on me for no reason and the indexing process crapping out on me for no reason. The tech people lead me to believe that there were many bugs also.

After tweeaking the querying process of Context for about a month I got the context servers up an running reliable for the most part.

Oracle Context itself was a outstanding application that gave outstanding unstructed querying functionality but the guts of the servers have been known to be a little buggy.

Probably not what you wanted to hear but that has been my experience.

Also, it was my experince that you should one and only one dir (oracle home) to kick off the servers. I do not know why this caused less crapouts but it did.
