Creating database and tables. Accessing from java.

We have an application which we want to try against Oracle 8. I have downloaded the personal oracle8 for winNT. I want to create the databaseand the table-structure.

Then I want to access the database from my java application

My problem lies in creating the database and the tables.

I don't know how this is done (Newbie!!!)

I used the Oracle database Assistent to create a database, but I don't know how to connect to this database for the creation of the tables. I wan't to create the tables via SQL*plus!

Hope someone can help me!
