Home -> Community -> Usenet -> c.d.o.server -> Problems installing Oracle8 server
I'm running on Windows NT workstation 4 platform and tried to install the
Oracle 8 server but I received this error messages when it was about to
install some files related to odbc:
datechkw
Error opening Files\Oracle\verchk.ini, Files\Oracle\verchk.ini contains an
invalid path
then after clicking the OK button, this following message popped up:
Error Information
odbo3220.vrf(395) : unbound environment variable 'ModResult'
what happened actually? I'm learning to use Oracle..but all this shit came up..I can't even install the server. Nope there's nothing wrong with the CD coz' my colleague tried it before on NT server. The difference here is that I'm trying to install it on NT workstation. but this shouldn't be the problem as the document mentioned that it can run on NT workstation. Did I get anything wrong ..I mean do I have to install sth first before installing Oracle 8?
by the way, my file system is on NTFS.
please reply to my address if you have the solution...I'm glad if you can
help me out here..I'm new to Oracle.
