If you mean deploying developer 2000 apps over the web using web developer 2000 applet emulator you need to know the following:

  1. Don't assume you won't need to amend existing apps to work smoothly on the web. Try them and see.
  2. You will need developer 2000 server.
  3. This was true last year. You will need 1 licence per user up to a maximum of 16 per CPU (You can have more than 16 users you just need aleast 16 licences). I think you have to buy them in packs of 8.
  4. The applet communicates to the server using TCP/IP sockets. This means it's difficult to get it to work through a firewall (security reasons).
