How is Informix better than Oracle???
Compare the informix sql utilities with sqlplus. Need I say more? Compare the connectivity tools, I have had Informix SDK just stop working one fine day on my clients' production environments. Comapare the SQL itself, do you know how often I wished IDS had something like NVL???
BTW, I've been doing Informix for 8 years now, even got certified! Now, there're hardly any Informix jobs around. I won't be surprised if this company goes belly up sometime soon. Who do you think will support your database after that?
Go with Oracle, you'll appreciate it very quickly.
