It really depends on the server hardware, and the network. When we switch between PO8 and Oracle8 we see about a 40% increase in reports (which are pure queries). However, we have a dual Intel PPro running NT4 with 256megs. Also the SCSI card has its own 16meg cache on board. So with that type of hardware we see huge increases.

So it will come down to your DB design also. How much code did you put on the server? Stuff like that. The only thing you can almost guess it that the performance will be the same or better.
