Fine-Grained Access Control

Does anyone have experience with the fine-grained access control feature of Oracle 8i for implementing row-level security in a data warehouse? We currently have an Oracle 7.3 warehouse which uses a complex series of views and a couple of Forms applications to provide row level security and it would be productive to reduce or eliminate this overhead. How well does this feature work and is it a viable option for a 300 user warehouse with somewhat complex rules governing row access?

Thanks for your input. Received on Mon Mar 01 1999 - 14:17:31 CST
