Memory usage - V7 vs V8

Has anyone noticed that V8 seems to need more memory than V7?  With V7 I had
DB_BLOCK_BUFFERS set to around 5000 and had an SGA of roughly 10M.  With V8
I have DB_BLOCK_BUFFERS cranked down to 1000 and have a 12M SGA.
