Hi Jordi,

I have been in such a situation (four increasing to six) and basically there are only three issues

- physical memory
- physical memory
- physical memory

As we didn't have that (only 256M on a RS6000 with four instances), virtual memory became the problem. The system was paging and swapping heavily. You can't share the SGA and if you have a database of 30G you probably needs lot of it.
Whatever you decide, make sure you install OFA compliant, avoiding installing different versionf of the sw. You will at least save something on memory then.
