I am getting similar '...running out of Virtual Memory(at 4 MB) and disabled temporarily for...' errors with OAS 4.0.7 under Solaris 2.6. The solaris box is only running OAS, has 256 Mb mem, 512 Mb swap. Swap space is usually about 95% free when I see this error. So far, Oracle Support has not been helpful. I'd also be interested in solutions / comments about this problem.
