I have orclcore.log in my trace file directory. It is created when I manually
shutdown instance services. The alert file says its a clean shutdown. Nothing seems
amis but....
Its executing the orashut.bat generated by the system. (NT 4.0 oracle 8.0.0.5)

The logfile says exception type access_vio. From my VMS days that smells
like priviledge issue. The user shutting down the instance has full control of
all directories and files involved. The system account ,and administrators have the
same access.

If I do a system shutdown it doesn't happen. Is there anyway to decipher which file its going after Received on Fri Feb 19 1999 - 13:40:03 CST
