To the best of my knowledge, 8.0.5 is the only version available on Linux.
Oracle didn't port the older versions.
That shouldn't necessarily deter you from using Linux/Oracle8 for development though. If you are going to port to 7.3, just be aware of the differences and don't use any Oracle8-specific features.
