Hi,
I just recently set up OEM 1.6 to work and soon found out that the database alerts do not send emails/page the administrator due to a bug in OEM which is yet to be fixed by Oracle.
Once you have installed Intelligent Agent on the dbs that you wish to monitor, try tnspinging the monitored db from your monitoring PC. That way you will know that your net8 is working properly.
