Washington State Dept. of Social and Health Services is using Recovery Manager for its Client Services Database. All Oracle recommendations for using RMAN are followed. In addition, alternate backup methods are in place if needed. Backups are performed via cron job on Sun/Solaris. Our experience is a mix of mostly success and some disappointments, including one current bug to be fixed in 8.0.5.1.
