I faced the same problem with TNS . Try the following :
If oracleTNS listener is in the auto mode and oracleTNS80 is manual ,
interchange the mode and stop your oracleTNS listener and start TNS80 .
Then try to create a service at the host and retry connecting to the database.
It worked for me . I suppose it may work for u too . In case of any further
clarifications feel free to write .
