install Personal Oracle 8?

A few months ago I loaded Oracle Lite on my WIN95 and I uninstalled it today so I could put on Personal Oracle 8. It put some sort of Path in the Autoexec.bat and it is still pointing to the old Oracle Lite. Is it safe to delete this path? I have tried loading Oracle 8 but it locks my machine up. I think it is because of this old path in the autoexec.bat. I have never done anything to the autoexec.bat and don't really know how.

Any help and suggestions are greatly appreciated.
