I should have mentioned that a restore is the first way to go.

Since the corrupt file is system datafile, what I suggested isn't likely to work.
However, I am curious if it is possible to restore a database with only datafiles and no system datafile.
I tried to help someone figure out a way to do exactly that once. It was a designer/2000 repository and the creator had to recreate it from scratch. Received on Fri Jan 15 1999 - 22:17:25 CST
