If you are considering third party solutions: A simple answer... Look at the DataMirror web site (http://www.datamirror.com/ They have a number of tools. My company uses their "transformation server" product to move data real-time across Oracle/NT, Oracle/Unix, As/400, and NT/SQL servers for our DW. We are also in the process of implementing it with Sybase.
