I was toying around with Oracle 8.0.5 with object option on Solaris 2.6 and
here is what happened:
- I created a type and and an object table of that type.
- I inserted some records in the table.
- I queried USER_TABLES and the table I created WAS NOT THERE. It was however
in the USER_OBJECTS with the type 'TABLE'.
I queried the table and voila, it really exists. To make long story short,
it looks like the OBJECT TABLES ARE NOT SHOWN IN USER_TABLES. Does anyone
have similar experiences or (hopefully) an explanation?
