We are investigating the following situation and any input from anyone in the community who has experimented with this, whether successfully or unsuccessfully, would be terrific...

Due to the fact 2 separate server applications running on a single machine require different Oracle versions ( 7.3.2 & 8.x ), we will need to install and run both Oracle servers from the same physical machine.

The server is an HP box running HP-UX 10.2.

This really just exploratory, but has anyone come across, or can forsee issues that might arise with control files, data files, mounted drives, etc...

Thanks in advance!
mk
